The intoxicating fragrance of spicy oils, exotic incense and scented soaps welcomes you when you enter. Cozy, dimly lit, and rich in ambiance and selection, Una Mae's has been a Wicker Park mainstay for the past five years. The fashionably conscious consider it a trusted institution, serving as chicken soup to any haggard shopper's soul.
The Moves The retro wear here is thrifty without being kitschy, and offers almost an equal selection for men and women. Menswear includes bowling shirts and '70s polyester tops. Una Mae's carries unique pieces, many of which come from local designers and smaller labels. Lines include Hurley, Syrup, Dollhouse, Epoch, Steady and Dragonfly. The store recently added new clothing designers Autoura, Dying Orchid and Mary Larkin. Prices range from $5-$100. You'll also find exotic fragrance candles, Kama Sutra products and assorted soaps.
